Adding to her collection of one-off tracks, New York artist Xenia Rubinos releases a new single 'Cógelo Suave', alongside an accompanying video animated by Stephen Smith. It's a wonderfully strange track, combining pop and punk vocals over an intriguing production. Vocals alternate between distorted shouts and a candied melodic stack. The production is mainly drums and staccato bass hits, with a touch of arpeggiated synth, creating a computerised sound. Rubinos describes the song as 'a gibberish spaceship ride, high speed chase, birds and stars whirring around your head at the end of a cartoon fight.'.
